block-quote is designed to increase the investor's associative powers and combines the power of StockSmart with the quote-news-chart search capabilities of Yahoo!.
Each StockSmart travel/transportation industry sector/sub-sector link will retrieve current block quotes on up to 80 companies, ranked in descending order of market value. Although the rank order is constantly in flux, we have blocked-out in groups of 20 the rank orders of early-May for each sector/sub-sector.
A Yahoo detailed quote for each grouping is enabled. The detailed quote includes a 1-year thumbnail graph and recent news stories (Reuters, PR Newswire, Businesswire and The Motley Fool) for all companies in the block.
The result is a quick comparative vertical scan of companies with like activities and market value. All companies in StockSmart's database with market values greater than $50 MM are included, and then some.
The Timely column is a selection of stocks within the sector/sub-sector which display interesting chart patterns (both positive and negative),a/o the latest survey.
The sectors and sub-sectors are re-surveyed, randomly, according to our own and client interest. No recommendation is intended.
